Also: Carlo Ancelotti insisted he came to Chelsea to win a trophy and the Italian has yet to see anything to suggest that his ambition will not be achieved.

DAILY MIRROR: Didier Drogba last night produced an awesome display to shoot Chelsea 11 points clear of Arsenal and leave Arsene Wenger utterly confused. Also: Rafa Benitez challenged his Liverpool stars to use their Merseyside derby victory to ignite their season...Cristiano Ronaldo missed a sitter as Barcelona won 'El Clasico' beating Real Madrid at the Nou Camp last night.

THE SUN: John Terry led Chelsea to a stunning win at Arsenal and roared: "This is the stuff champions are made of." Also: Mick McCarthy's Wolves crisis mounted as they crashed at home to Birmingham thanks to Lee Bowyer's early strike...Kettering keeper Lee Harper will put quit plans on hold to try to go out in style at Manchester United...Cristiano Ronaldo misfired as Real Madrid came off worst in 'El Clasico' last night.

THE TIMES: Carlo Ancelotti watched his Chelsea team brush aside Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium yesterday and then declared: "I believe we will win the title." Also: Arsene Wenger complained vehemently that a "massive mistake" by Andre Marriner, the referee, had denied Arsenal a way back into their match against Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium yesterday, adding that this was not the first time this season that his team had been undone by the match officials.

THE INDEPENDENT: Before the contest Arsene Wenger had predicted this would be the game when his young side realise their true potential. However, after seeing them blown off the pitch by Chelsea's powerhouse display, he stubbornly refused to accept that Arsenal had been outplayed by a team they now trail by 11 points.
