AFTER having a settled back four, Barnsley manager Simon Davey is forced to break it up this weekend.
The one-match ban imposed on Darren Moore for the red card following his professional foul against Doncaster Rovers means the big central defender will miss the trip to Neil Warnock's Crystal Palace for Saturday's televised 5.20pm clash.

Thus far, Moore - signed from Derby County in the summer - and Dennis Souza have played every game in centre defence.

Joining them as an ever-present too is Stephen Foster at right-back.

Seven games ago - just before the last international break on August 30 - Rob Kozluk came in at left-back and those four have been the backline since.

The goals against record wasn't bad, either, with only two goals conceded in five games until Ipswich hit three against them.

Now, Davey has to ponder what he will do in Moore's absence. Taking into consideration the way Warnock usually sets up his team, it seems certain Davey will plump for Foster moving across into centre defence.

He would then have the option of drafting Bobby Hassell into the right-back spot.

Hassell can also play in centre defence but Foster's extra physical attributes make him the best bet for that role.

Hassell played the first four games of the season, losing his place for the Derby County match and on the subs' bench since.
