DONCASTER Rovers will have midweek signing Darren Byfield on debut in tomorrow's pre-season friendly against Scunthorpe United at the Keepmoat Stadium (noon).
Rovers beat several other intertested clubs to sign the 31-year-old striker following his release by Bristol City.
Former Burnley midfielder John Spicer, who came on in the second half of the club's low-key friendly at Rossington Main, will also be makng his debut at the stadium.
Teenage striker Tomi Ameobi is also expected to feature at some stage.
The 19-year-old is currently on Leeds United's books but has spent the last five days at the club's training camp at RAF Cottesmore.
The brother of Newcastle star Shola, Ameobi didn't take up the game until he was 15.
He made nine appearances on loan at Scunthorpe last season.
Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll told the Supporters' Club AGM at the Park Hotel that there had been no further developments in the club's bid to sign Manchester City full-back Matt Mills.
Rovers have admitted that they made a mistake charging £15 admission for tomorrow's game and fans will receive a £5 voucher for the club shop.
Rovers, who were faced with a fans' boycott, have also scrapped plans to just open the East Stand, though they request supporters sit in clusters to create a better atmoshere.
Richie Wellens will also be presented with the Disabled Supporters' Club 2007-08 Player of the Season award.
