SHEFFIELD Eagles coach Mark Aston has accepted that he will lose his top try-scorer Danny Mills.
The winger is on his way to National League One rivals Widnes Vikings after plundering 14 touchdowns for the Eagles in the season just ended.

"The reality is that we are resigned to losing Danny. He has been made a very good offer that I don't believe he can refuse it," said Aston.

"It's the only reason Danny is going. He has told me that he would stay if we could match the offer because he loves the Eagles.

"Danny has had another good season for us and he's a great kid and I've got a lot of time for him."

Widnes with big money backing are in a position to offer Mills a full-time contract.
