ROTHERHAM United have noted the Football League's decision to deduct points from Luton Town.
Luton, managed by former Millers boss Mick Harford, will start next season in League Two minus 15 points.
The club's new owners say they are close to exiting administration which they went into in November.
That process has been delayed until there was a decision in the Leeds' case; they had a 15 point deduction against them upheld after they failed to exit administration through a Company Voluntary Arrangement. Luton had a CVA rejected in April.
Prospective chairman Tony Stewart and Chief Operating Officer Paul Douglas have been having talks over how Rotherham will tackle the exit and are exploring ways as to how they may do so without incurring a 15 point penalty.
Meanwhile, contract talks have been successful with Ian Sharps and Andy Warrington who have both agreed deals for two years.
