IT WOULD appear that things may get just a little more difficult from now on for Rotherham United - starting tomorrow at Brentford.
No-one can possibly knock their winning start - played three, won three in League Two. Tag on two draws - followed by wins on penalties - against Sheffield Wednesday and Wolves in the Carling cup and there's no wonder Millers fans are bouyant once again.
But Brentford away followed by Chesterfield away then last season's shock side, Rochdale, after that suggest Rotherham's smooth start could head for choppier waters.
To be frank, the Millers have hardly met a league Two force yet. Lincoln were fairly ordinary and are still pointless, Morecambe were not the side of last season and looked listless while Chester were dreadfully poor in the first half last Saturday although they did pick up after half-time.
Those three teams are not the sort of yardstick to judge Rotherham by. They will get a better idea of their capabilities in the month ahead.
Brentford, managed by Andy Scott (brother of ex-Miller Rob), looked useful when winning last season at Millmoor.
His team strengthening in the summer included midfielder Marcus Bean who had a loan spell with Rotherham at the start of last season.
He also brought in Charlie McDonald, a sharp striker from Southend who made himself a hit with the Griffin Park faithful when bagging a double on his home debut in the 4-0 demolition of Grimsby.
He could form a good front pairing with tall Nathan Elder who proved a handful in the 2-1 win at Millmoor in April, a game in which he scored.
Rotherham - who last won their first three league games of the season 10 years ago - could feel the effects of the extra-time clash with Wolves.
That's why manager Mark Robins may be looking at a couple of pairs of fresh legs.
They followed up the extra-time win at Hillsborough by winning at Morecambe.
But Robins claimed the efforts of the cup tie did cut into their energy levels a few days later.
