BARNSLEY manager Simon Davey will contest the FA charge of improper conduct that has followed Saturday's heated clash with Sheffield United.
An FA statement said: "The charge relates to Davey's conduct towards the assistant referee late in the second half. Davey was asked to leave the technical area after protesting against the award of a penalty to Sheffield United."
He will request a personal hearing at which he will raise the issue of player protection following the injury received by Iain Hume.
