SHEFFIELD'S Brendan Ingle has been named in the top ten boxing trainers in the world by Ring magazine.
The influential monthly puts the man who produced Herol Graham, Naseem Hamed and Johnny Nelson from his Wincobank gym among the fight game's greatest.
The 65-year-old is ranked alongside Lennox Lewis trainer Emanuel Steward - who also trained Hamed towards the end of his career - and Joe Goossen the man who produced Michael Nunn, Joel Casamayor and the Ruelas brothers.
In a glowing testimonial to Ingle's half a century in boxing the magazine said: "Ingle has been producing prizefighters out of St Thomas' gym for 50 years. There is a reason Ingle is a legend in England and one of the two or three most respected trainers in all of Europe. He turns fighters into champions."
