Why the imbalance?

Now that the dust has settled over the disappointment of the "Red and White Wizards" losing to the minnows of Burnley in the Championship playoff final - let's give credit where credits due - Burnley are Lancashire's 8th representative in the football Premier league - with more than their fair share of silverware and final representation thrown in for good measure.

Including the giants of Manchester and Merseyside, there are also Bolton, Wigan, Blackburn and now of course Burnley.

Hull City - by the skin of their teeth are the sole Yorkshire representatives. Any explanations for this imbalance?

Perhaps the secret lies in the hotpot?!
