ITV's The Chase star Mark Labbett has hailed a fantastic season for Sheffield United outside Bramall Lane earlier today.

The ITV star and Blades fan, nicknamed The Beast, took time out of his busy filming diary to Sheffield United pick up the League One trophy this afternoon.

Labbett usually has to contend with taxing questions from host Bradley Walsh but he was filmed answering a much simpler question before kick-off.

Sheffield United tweeted a video of the quick interview before the Chesterfield clash to get Labbett's views on the Blades' historic season.

When asked how he feels the season has gone, Labbett said it was his "easiest question to answer".

He said: "97 points, pretty well! We'd settle for the same next year wouldn't we?"

However, when asked for a prediction on today's scoreline, Labbett was brutally honest with his reply.

He said: "I don't care! We're already up, for once we can relax without having to worry about an 87th minute penalty. Enjoy it!"
