MARUSSIA Virgin Racing are chasing a seventh straight two-car finish in Monza.
The Dinnington-based outfit are poised to unveil a major update to the rear of their car at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza circuit on Sunday. The Star understands the brand new package could speed Virgin up by half a second.
Senior racer Timo Glock is looking forward to the trip to Italy and maintaining Virgin’s improved reliability.
“I always enjoy driving at this fantastic track as it’s the fastest on the Formula One calendar so it’s always a real challenge,” he said. “The track is generally flat, but has gradual gradient from the second Lesmos to the Variante Ascari and the grip here is very low due to the aerodynamic profile needed.”
