BRIAN Booth (21-6) starred for Armthorpe in their 164-122 Doncaster Bowls Association Midweek League Division One win over Westfield Park.

Woodlands Park were narrowly beaten (140-139) at Pilkingtons Recreation despite a 21-9 win from Malcolm Fox.

Keith Huckerby (21-7), Trevor Cotterill (21-4) and Paul Barnett (21-7) all excelled as Unison consolidated second place in Division Two with a 159-108 victory at Armthorpe B.

Alison Stocks (21-8) was unable to save Bawtry from a 138-134 Division Three defeat at home to Parklands.

Joe Dixon (21-5), Natasha Jackson (21-6) and Frank Glover (21-7) were the pick of the winners for Yorkshire Main B in their 163-112 victory over Thorne.

Roy Farmer (21-8) was Denaby B’s best winner in their 144-117 verdict over visiting Thorne. Parklands carded a 148-146 win at Yorkshire Main B.

Pilkingtons Rec C recorded their fourth maximum of the season with big wins from Peter Wilson (21-6), Sammy Blanchard (21-1) and Gary Stanley (21-2) earning them a 168-85 Division Four victory over Bawtry B.

Bill Fletcher won 21-7 for Adwick B, but Bentley Colliery won the game 152-119 with wins from Matthew Griffiths (21-9) and Mick Gilbert (21-7).

Paul Rumney (21-8) was the best winner for Pilkingtons Rec D, but Harvesters finished on top (151-129) chiefly thanks to Walter Barnett’s 21-9 win.

There was yet another maximum for Pilkingtons Rec C, whose 168-93 victory over Carcroft B, included good results from Steve Walker (21-6) and John Armstrong (21-4).

Alan Love posted a 21-6 win for Bawtry B in their 151-98 victory over Westfield Park B.

Malcolm Tetley (21-8) gave Parklands B the lead in their Division Five home game against Tickhill, but a 21-9 win from last man Jim Pickford secured the visitors a 138-131 victory.

Wins from Peter Heptinstall and John Knapp (both 21-7), Steve Hallas (21-3) and Les Candler (21-4) laid the foundations for Brodsworth B’s first win (133-105) of the season. George Craven’s 21-8 win for Unison had little impact on the final result.

Stan Dennis finished on the losing side despite winning 21-3 for Parklands C as Adam Dawson and Eric Day both won 21-9 for Yorkshire Main C in their 139-123 victory.
