TIGERS have frozen admission prices for the 2013 season after securing a new lease with their Owlerton landlords.

The news rounds off a good week for the club after they finalised a new deal with American World Cup star Ricky Wells on Tuesday.

And in a boost for loyal supporters, season tickets are now on sale with a series of added benefits on race night including discounted parking and refreshment vouchers.

Club co-promoter David Hoggart has revealed the new agreement with A&S Leisure is for six years.

He said: “We are delighted to announce that we have entered into a further period of tenure at Owlerton Stadium which will give us continuity of racing for a further six years.

“Our landlords, A & S Leisure are extremely supportive of speedway at Owlerton and are committed to providing the best stadium facilities in the sport.

“Clearly in such uncertain economic times this is a major boost for not only speedway in Sheffield but the sport as a whole and I can only praise the positive attitude from the directors and management.”

The club have confirmed their opening meeting is on Thursday, March 28 but the opponents are yet to be confirmed.
