TIGERS are expecting to finalise terms with Richard Hall within the next few days.
Hall, an Elite League title winner with Peterborough in 2006, is an Owlerton track specialist and very much in the club’s plans.
And boss David Hoggart believes there is plenty more to come from the North Yorkshire racer.
He said: “Richard has a lot of experience at this level and I believe he can improve his average next season.
“He’s a key part of our plans and we are going to need him to support Simon Stead at the top end of the team.
“He knows we are going to need points from him away from home but the priority for us has to be to win our home meetings. I would love us to go through our home league programme with an unbeaten record.”
Hoggart is refusing to be drawn on the Ricky Wells situation after the Californian revealed the club want him to take a pay cut. He said: “Ricky is a great lad and I hope we can still come to an arrangement. It was a shame to read the article and it’s caused a stir amongst supporters, but I guess it’s all part of the negotiating process.
“We do have another option up our sleeve but I would like to think we can talk more with Ricky to see if we can reach a conclusion.”
