Sheffield’s Jonny Marray begins his final warm-up tournament today before the defence of his Wimbledon doubles title next week.
Marray and partner Colin Fleming have been seeded fourth for the Aegon International in Eastbourne and they will take on fellow British pair Jamie Delgado and James Ward for a place in the last eight.
Last week, at the Aegon Championships at Queen’s Club in London, Marray and Fleming reached the quarter-finals before losing to Indian pair Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna.
Also in action today is British No 1 Laura Robson who will take on Ukrainian qualifier Yuliya Beygelzimer.
Yesterday British No 2 Heather Watson beat world number 27 Varvara Lepchenko 6-3 6-4 to set up a second-round clash with Russia’s Elena Vesnina.
