Sheffield’s Jonny Marray and doubles partner Colin Fleming are aiming to reach the last eight of the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters today.
Marray and Fleming take on fourth seeds Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi and Jean-Julien Rojer after beating Freddie Nielsen and Julian Knowle yesterday 6-4 7-6(7) in the ATP World Tour Masters Series tournament.
It’s Marray and Fleming’s first event since helping to guide Great Britain through their Davis Cup match with Russia at the beginning of April in Coventry.
The Monte-Carlo tournament marks the start of the European clay court season, which finishes at Roland Garros in Paris for the French Open. Victory today would net the pair a minimum of 180 ranking points each and 19,850 Euros between them.
