JONNY Marray may be forced to wait until next year to play his first match of the 2013 season after the schedule was announced for today’s action at the Qatar Exxonmobil Open in Doha.

The Wimbledon doubles champion from Sheffield and partner Dustin Brown will play Lukas Lacko of Slovakia and Albert Ramos of Spain in the first round but Brown has a singles match today against fellow German Michael Berrer, which takes precedence.

Marray will be hoping for a strong start to the season as he prepares for the Australian Open next month where he’ll partner Brazilian Andre Sa.

A first round win in Qatar would net the 32-year-old Marray a minimum share of $9,430 with Brown and 45 ranking points.
