England ace Nick Matthew remains in second place in the latest men’s squash world rankings issued by the PSA.
The Sheffield star is narrowly behind mercurial French player Gregory Gaultier, who he shared the number one position with three months ago.
Gaultier, who recently reached the semi-finals of the El Gouna International World Series event, regained outright control of top spot last month.
The biggest mover inside the top 10 is 34-year-old four-time world champion Amr Shabana, with the Egyptian continuing his recent resurgence by climbing up three places to No 5.
Matthew, meanwhile, is the top seed at the Allam British Open Squash Championships, which gets underway on May 12.
