SHEFFIELD head to Plymouth tonight in search of their first Premier League away points of the season, but they will have to break the Devils’ top end strength first.

Plymouth boast the League’s top two riders in Great Britain star Ben Barker and American World Cup man Ryan Fisher, but the powerful duo have so far been unable to stop their side slipping to home defeats.

Despite their patchy form, Tigers co-boss David Hoggart knows that the home side will prove a tough nut to crack.

He said: “It isn’t going to be easy and this Plymouth side looks very strong on paper. They have an excellent top three and now look far better all the way through so I’m looking for our boys to pull off a bit of a miracle to be honest.

“Ricky Wells rode there last year so should go well and Emiliano Sanchez flies round there.”

Sheffield: Pepe Franc, Hugh Skidmore, Chris Schramm, Richard Hall, Ricky Wells, Joe Haines, Emiliano Sanchez.

Last night’s washed out League Cup clash with Scunthorpe at Owlerton has been swiftly rearranged for this Monday, June 25.
