Tigers to peg ticket prices

TIGERS bosses have vowed to honour current season-ticket prices even if race day admission is increased.

Co-promoter David Hoggart is due to hold talks with club owner Neil Machin shortly to review outstanding items ahead of the new season.

And along with the appointment of a new team manager, admission prices will be high on the agenda.

Hoggart said: “We pride ourselves on offering value for money to our supporters and that will never change as long as I have anything to do with it.

“Neil doesn’t want to increase prices and the same applies to me, but we have to look at balancing the books and I must admit there is a possibility at this stage.

“Looking around the Premier League, we are one of the cheapest tracks at this level and yet we offer the best facilities.

“But I must point out that costs rise in this sport year after year. Riders costs go up for machinery and they come back to us and ask for an increase in pay and it has a knock-on effect.”
