Tigers speed towards play offs

TIGERS are still in with a chance of reaching the Premier League play-offs after their fine Bank Holiday weekend.

And they know nothing less than three-points will do when they face Somerset at Owlerton in tomorrow's vital clash.

Tigers are now in a straight battle with Rye House and King's Lynn for fourth spot - and Lynn face champions elect Edinburgh at the Norfolk Arena tonight.

If Tigers beat Somerset and then win at Glasgow they will force Rye House to pick up points away from home.

Boss Eric Boocock said: "The win at Scunthorpe was tremendous and we enjoyed the occasion because they have had the measure of us over recent times.

"It was perfect. They tried a couple of tactical rides but we were too good for them and I was really pleased with our lads.

"We want to make the top four, it's going to be tough and very tense, but we want to get in there and achieve as much as we can.

"To be honest, we would have been there already but we have wasted so many points it's unbelievable. Hopefully we can put that right against Somerset and get all three points to keep up the pressure.

"There have been a lot of positives this season and after our start I'm pleased with the way things have been going."
