Tigers fans have given the new-look team and management the thumbs-up – according to co-boss Damien Bates.
The Owlerton side go into tomorrow’s League Cup clash at home to Scunthorpe looking to put one foot in the semi-finals after two successive group wins already.
And Bates has thanked fans for their backing as well as all the feedback the new management have received.
He said: “As a management team we are delighted with the welcome we have received from the supporters, there’s a lot of enthusiasm about the place which is great.
“We’ve also had lots of nice feedback from supporters and this is very much appreciated. They seem to like what we are doing and how the team is shaping up.
“There’s still a lot for us to do, of course, but we are heading in the right direction and with the help of a lot of good people we are spreading the word about the sport throughout the area.”
The Scorpions have booked Danish star Claus Vissing, who is an Owlerton specialist and always good value on his visits, as a guest replacement for the injured Anders Mellgren tomorrow.
Mellgren is in hospital with a back injury sustained in a track crash against Redcar last week.
Ashley Birks and Josh Auty are also in the side which means two former Tigers will be in the visiting pits.
