Tigers can be real force says Boocock

ERIC Boocock insists his side have proved they have what it takes to become a top four Premier League team.

Recent form has seen a massive upturn in Sheffield Tigers' fortunes with a draw at Berwick and Thursday's thrilling win over clear title favourites King's Lynn.

Boss Boocock believes the team are showing enough promise to become a real force now the league programme is in full swing.

He said: "I've been saying for the past three weeks that things are starting to come together nicely for us. All the lads are doing well.

"The frustrating part is that we haven't done it right from the start of the season. We put the team together because we believed they were capable of doing things like they did on Thursday.

"But various riders have had problems since we started and we just get the feeling we've turned the corner and we're starting to become a major force, possibly for the top four.

"To come from behind and beat a powerful King's Lynn side like we did was excellent, even though they didn't have Tomas Topinka."

Boocock was also delighted to see a bumper crowd backing his side at Owlerton on Thursday. "That makes a difference," he said.
