Sheffield Tigers star Richard Hall says he’s “got that feeling back” as he looks to spearhead the Owlerton side to success this year.
Hall has enjoyed a good start to the season and looks like he will form a powerful top three with Simon Stead and Ricky Wells.
Despite a string of solid, if unspectacular, campaigns, Hall now wants to raise his game again.
He said: “I’ve made a few changes through the winter and I think it was important for me to do that. I changed engine tuners and I’ve hired a full-time mechanic, and I can feel myself moving forward again now.
“I seemed to have got stuck in a rut over the last few years. I wasn’t going backwards but I wasn’t going forwards either and I knew I had to do something. I sat down over the winter and had a proper think about what I needed to do to get going.
“I hired a full-time mechanic so I can spend less time in the workshop and hopefully that will give me a bit extra this year. You can get bogged down in the workshop if you’re doing everything yourself .”
