Australian ace Taylor Poole wants to be back in Sheffield colours next season.
And he admits a good end to the current campaign, including tonight’s home meeting with Plymouth, will help his cause with club bosses.
Poole has admitted he found riding for the club daunting at the start of the year – but he’s grown to love life at Owlerton.
“It was tough to start off with, but now it’s one of my favourite tracks and I’m really pleased with how things have turned out,” he said.
“Within a few weeks I’d found plenty of lines and I was feeling comfortable riding around here, and I’ve managed to have a good season. I’m delighted with it.
“After a year out it was always going to take me a while to get going, but once I got back into the swing of things I’ve been winning races and riding well so it’s been good.
“It’s been a tough year for Sheffield but I’ve really enjoyed it, and I’d love to be back next year.
“I just hope everyone else wants me to be back and the averages work out well, because obviously with speedway you never know what will happen.
“All being well I can be back in a Tigers jacket next year so I can pick up where I left off and have a good year.”
