JAKE Knight fully deserves his big break in the Premier League - that’s the view of Tigers owner Neil Machin.
Knight, the son of former England international Richard, is part of a revamped Owlerton side who will take to the track next month.
And Machin reckons he can play his part in helping Sheffield surprise a few experts with some important points in the lower order of the team.
Knight joins Facundo Albin and Damien Koppe as newcomers to the league and Machin believes they will all make an impact once they have settled in.
He said: “Jake has made lots of positive noises since we’ve been working together in the last 12 months and he really wasn’t getting enough track time at National League level.
“He felt he’d gone stale and he did need that additional challenge of moving into the Premier League. He knows he’s got the ability, and he just needs the track time to prove his worth to some extent.”
