Sheffield Tigers bosses have paid tribute to Australian World Cup star Brady Kurtz ahead of his appearance at Owlerton tonight.
Kurtz will line-up for Plymouth as Premier League racing returns to the track for the first time since June 23.
He was a regular in the Sheffield team as a star guest last season when skipper Simon Stead suffered serious injuries early on.
And club co-promoter Damien Bates said: “We are big fans of Brady here at Sheffield and we were always pleased with his efforts when we used him as a guest for Steady.
“He’s admitted Owlerton is one of his favourites tracks and even said he’d love to ride here every week, well he’s going to be a dangerous opponent tonight!
“He’s a nice lad too and I’m pleased to see he has just been named in the Australian Speedway World Cup squad, he fully deserves it.”
Plymouth also include Jack Holder, brother of 2012 World Champion Chris, who has just been made a full asset of Poole but will continue to ride for the Devils on loan.
Bates added: “The fact that Poole have signed Jack means he is hot property and he will love riding around Sheffield.
“It’s going to be a big night of racing and I know our lads are just desperate to get back racing and continue a push for the play-offs.
“We won’t be taking anything for granted with Plymouth, all our lads know they will have to be on their toes and working really hard. I’m expecting a good meeting.”
Tigers are again without Jason Garrity who is expected to be out for another fortnight with a broken arm and they will use the rider replacement facility.
