Sheffield Tigers star Arthur Sissis insists they can defy the odds one more time to lift the Premier League title.
The injury-hit Tigers have stunned Newcastle and Glasgow to set up a Grand Final showdown with table-topping Somerset.
They will host the Rebels at Owlerton on Wednesday (7.30) before travelling to the Oak Tree Arena for the second leg 24 hours later.
Sissis, who put in a heroic display in their tense aggregate triumph at Ashfield last week, admits even he has been surprised by their play-off success.
But he sees no reason why they can’t take the final step to bring title glory back to the city.
Said Sissis: “I don’t think anyone was expecting us to go through, not even ourselves if we’re being honest, but we managed to just do enough which was awesome.
“The last time we went to Glasgow we got beat by about 20 points, the same at Newcastle, so the last two results have shown what we can do.
“It’ll be hard again against Somerset, but we said the same against Newcastle and Glasgow!
“If we can all play our part again then maybe we can surprise everyone one more time and go all the way.
“With the guests we’ve had in the team, I think the team spirit has been better recently and we’ve all been enjoying ourselves.
“We haven’t had any pressure on us, and I think that might have helped because we’ve all been a bit more relaxed.”
“I think just to make it to the final is a great achievement for the club, especially given the amount of injuries.
“Whatever happens we’ve done an awesome job to make it this far, but we want to try and go all the way and get our hands on the trophy.”
