Arthur Sissis makes his first appearance on TV with Sheffield tonight when they head to pre-season title favourites Glasgow.
Sissis, in his first season in British racing, has never raced in front of TV cameras before.
It’s the second successive season Sheffield have been selected for a live broadcast after their visit to Owlerton last July.
And Sissis said: “I’m just going to treat it the same as any other meeting and do my very best. I’ll go out there and try to enjoy it, of course you want to do well in front of the cameras but I have to try and put that out of my mind and focus as I do with every meeting.”
Sissis admits the blow of losing Simon Stead and David Bellego was hard on the team – but they are starting to show signs of bouncing back.
He said: “We’d won every match we’d been in until we lost Steady and David, and for that to happen in the way that it did with such a nasty crash was a big blow.
“It did hit us quite hard as a team, because we are a really close bunch of guys and they are both important members of the team.
“It’s not been ideal, and we had a couple of bad meetings against Somerset, but we’ve managed to bounce back well with two good away wins.”
“It was important for us to try and regroup and we’ve managed to do that. Our season is getting back on track now, we are still in a really good position and feeling confident we can be up there in the mix for silverware at the end of the season.
“Hopefully we can just keep our form going this week, pick up more points and keep on riding well.”
