TIGERS have confirmed the return of Richard Hall after agreeing a new deal for the 2013 season.
The 28-year-old joins Simon Stead, Joe Haines, Facundo Albin, Damien Koppe and Jake Knight in the new-look Tigers team.
And Sheffield say they’re confident the Northallerton racer can significantly increase his average of 6.89 - particularly away from home.
Hall’s Achilles heel was his form on some away tracks in what was a difficult 2012 for the club which countered some excellent efforts on home shale, culminating in his appearance in the Premier League Riders’ Championship.
Said co-promoter David Hoggart: “We’re pleased to have Richard back. He is a crowd favourite and will certainly add to the excitement levels at home.
“Richard knows he has to up his game on away circuits and that’s his main target. He’s certainly spectacular to watch and that’s what we want from the team this time around.”
It leaves one place to fill in the Sheffield septet. Hoggart and owner Neil Machin are still in talks with American Ricky Wells.
Hall and Stead will be guests at tonight’s meeting of the STARS supporters group. the New Barrack Tavern, Penistone Road, 7.30pm.
