TIGERS co-promoter David Hoggart admits the club are already casting en eye towards next season.

The Owlerton side have struggled to make an impact in the Premier League thanks to a lack of form and a deepening injury list.

But the team revamp forced upon them during the winter has clearly not worked and it could be they are in need of something similar next time around.

Hoggart said: “It’s difficult when you have so many injuries and there have been mistakes from both riders and management this season.

“In the remaining weeks of this season we have to stay positive and I want to see a determination from riders who want to stay with us.

“Neil Machin, Nigel Hinchliffe and myself will be talking regularly about our team plans because the earlier you can make a start on it the better chance you have of getting the riders you identify for your team.

“Now we have to take whatever we can from the remaining meetings of the season and we are still mulling over what possibilities there are for us to take a look at a rider or two here and there.

“It’s a savage blow for us to lose Joe (Haines) after his crash but he’s a determined young lad and I know he will be back with us before the end of the season if at all possible.

“We acknowledge it’s been a tough season for everyone at the club and we understand supporters frustrations, but we will be doing everything we can in the closing weeks to enjoy our speedway and lay the foundations for us to bounce back next year.”

Tigers face Berwick in their latest Premier League clash this Thursday at Owlerton and they are working on cover for Haines, Josef Franc and Emiliano Sanchez.
