SHEFFIELD hope to name the second member of their squad for 2013 soon.

The Tigers have all but tied up a deal for the unnamed foreign rider.

Team manager David Hoggart said: “He’s a rider who has not ridden in Britain and someone who will be a brand new face at Owlerton for 2013.

“We have worked hard over the last two months to do this deal and we’re delighted with it. There are just a few things left to complete, crossing the Is and dotting the Ts.

“We don’t want to release the name until everything is 100% and that point should come within a day or two now. Sheffield fans will be pleased.”

Hoggart also moved to quash internet rumours that the Tigers have struck a deal with Leicester’s Finnish international Kauko Nieminen.
