SHEFFIELD boss David Hoggart has confirmed Joe Haines will be offered a team place at Owlerton next year.
The British Under-21 champion has been a bright spark in an otherwise dreary campaign for the Tigers, increasing his average to just under five points per meeting.
Haines has visibly enjoyed his racing again this year and his scoring at the bottom end of the side has kept Sheffield in several meetings.
Hoggart said: “Joe will be the first name on our team sheet next year, providing he wants to stay with us.
“He came to us a little washed up after a tough year last year where he represented several teams, but we’ve been patient with each other and it’s paid off and worked for both parties.
“Joe arrived to us at a very similar stage to when Josh Auty joined us, they both had difficult spells and they came to us and enjoyed their racing.
“Joe has knuckled down and he’s done a fantastic job.”
