TIGERS are facing up to a massive fixture backlog after seeing their last three home meetings washed out.
And co-promoter David Hoggart says it’s also a massive drain on the club’s finances with no income from turnstile clicks.
Sheffield have now seen their last three home meetings postponed and Hoggart said: “It’s depressing for us all. The riders don’t get to race, the fans are starved of speedway and the cash flow is poor because of no income.
“I can’t remember the last time we had a sustained spell of bad weather like this.
“Hopefully there will be a break in the weather soon and we can get new dates penciled in so we can think about catching up with fixtures.
“We don’t really want to be delaying our Premier League fixture list but the League Cup is well behind now.
“The frustrating thing is we don’t have another fixture until next Thursday when Glasgow come to us.”
