TIGERS racer Ricky Wells says he’s almost ready to go for the new season.
Wells, back at Owlerton for a second successive season, has made good progress with his bikes and other equipment since jetting back into the UK .
The Californian has high hopes for Sheffield and he is also hoping to enjoy a good run in the World Cup with USA.
He said: “I’m glad to be back and am ready to go. I’ve got good people on board this year. I’m working with Sam Ermolenko again and I’ve got a new mechanic. I’ve not got much work left on the bikes; I’m just waiting on engines and a couple of little things like seats. I did most of the prep work at the end of last season, and that’s saved me a lot of hassle this time around.
“Sheffield Press and Practice is on March 21, and I’m riding at Plymouth the next night in a challenge to get up to speed. Then I have two days of practicing at Wolves before I’m straight into Sheffield v Birmingham at Owlerton which will be the first competitive meeting for me. I’ll be giving my all to Sheffield.”
