TIGERS owner Neil Machin has refused to rule out seeing Lee Complin back in the team in the future.
Complin, who started his career at Owlerton almost a decade ago, remains on the Sheffield asset list but has been loaned out to both Stoke and Berwick since making his comeback from ‘retirement.’
He appeared to be destined for the top of the sport when he walked away but made a welcome return in 2007. He returns to Owlerton tonight with Berwick alongside another former Tigers man Josef Franc.
Said Machin: “You can never rule out using your own assets and Lee certainly fits the bill. “He loves riding at Sheffield and we all remember his sensational form with us when he first joined the club as a raw youngster, winning the treble. It was a huge shock and a waste of talent when he decided to quit at such a young age but he still has time on his side to make something out of his career.
”We will have to ride well to keep him at bay tonight because he always enjoys coming back here and the same applies to Pepe (Josef Franc).
“He did a good job for us last season and remains a fine rider. It will be a tough meeting. And the fact that Berwick have just signed Ludvig Lindgren, who is a regular Elite League rider with Wolverhampton, clearly means they mean business.”
Tigers are at full strength.
