TIGERS will launch their Premier League schedule with two meetings in three days against Workington next month.
The sides will meet at Owlerton on April 18 with the return in Cumbria 48-hours later.
Club boss David Hoggart has yet to finalise plans for the opposition on their opening (challenge match) night of the season, on March 28. And they start their League Cup campaign at Leicester on April 30.
Hoggart said: “It’s a tough start to the Premier League because Workington are strongly fancied this year. But we will have had a couple of meetings under our belt by then, against Leicester and Scunthorpe in the League Cup. I’m hoping we can hit the ground running in our league programme.”
Tigers have also been handed two plum national events. They’ll host a British semi-final on April 25 and once again they’ve been awarded the Premier League Riders’ Championship on September 22.
They will also host international racing on July 25 when Great Britain take on Australia.
Hoggart said: “We are delighted to have big meetings at Owlerton. The facilities and the investment put in by our landlords means it is just reward to have some top events on the calendar. We’re very pleased.”
