TIGERS legend Shawn Moran is on his way back to Owlerton next week.
The classy Californian, who was a massive favourite with Sheffield fans, will appear in the Panorama Room for a question and answer session next Wednesday, June 29.
And he will be the club’s guest of honour the following night for their Premier League clash with Workington.
Moran formed a formidable partnership with his late brother Kelly for club and country during his time at Owlerton and it will be his first appearance at Sheffield since he quit the sport in 1994.
He will also be launching and signing his new DVD charting one of the most eventful careers the sport has ever seen.
Tigers owner Neil Machin said: “The sport could do with more characters like Shawn Moran, he is a true legend of this sport. I am sure fans will want to meet him, get autographs and have their photograph taken with the man they call ‘Shooey’.
“He’s been back in Europe for the best part of a year now but he has wanted to stay fairly low profile which we have respected here at Sheffield.
“But he has many fans who still love him to this day and they will turn out in force I feel sure of that.
“And he will be at our meeting with Workington when I’m sure he will take to the mic and speak to our fans. He provided great pleasure to thousands of supporters, particularly during the 1980s along with brother Kelly.”
