JOSH Auty aims to celebrate his 21st birthday in style tonight with another maximum performance.
Auty lines up for Tigers against Rye House in another important Premier League clash as they look to cement their position in the top three.
The West Yorkshire-based rider romped to a 15-point haul in last week’s win over Ipswich at Owlerton and he is looking for another positive showing.
He said: “It felt good last Thursday and of course I want to do it again and keep the big scores coming for the rest of the season.
“It would be a nice way to celebrate my birthday to score a maximum for a second successive week in front of the Sheffield fans. It might also mean I would get a couple more meetings for Coventry in the Elite League. But above my own situation, we want to win to keep up the challenge for a top three finish which would be an improvement on last season.”
Sheffield are unchanged from the side which beat Ipswich convincingly at Owlerton last week and will start the meeting as clear favourites. But Tigers owner Neil Machin also believes the Rockets have some serious strength on the fastest track in Britain and he is refusing to underestimate them.
He said: “Jordan Frampton always enjoys his visits to Owlerton and will be a force, Richie Hawkins is a former Sheffield rider and down at reserve James Brundle and Tyson Nelson have both been riding well of late.
“We certainly don’t expect to have it all our own way, but we are going for all three points.
“Nothing else will do.”
