It’s just the job for new season captain Hall

TIGERS owner Neil Machin says the appointment of Richard Hall as skipper for the new season is good for both rider and team.

Hall is back at Owlerton after a season out on loan at Leicester followed by a short spell at Scunthorpe. Machin reckons the captaincy role could be just what Hall needs to establish himself as one of the top Premier League riders.

He said: “Richard has a good crew around him in the pits and that will give him time to carry out captaincy duties. It could be a very good year for Richard. We feel that his new role will help raise his own game and he can go on to become one of the stand-out riders in the Premier League. He has lots of experience under his belt and been part of successful Sheffield teams in the past. He’s a very determined character and willing to work with the club management in the best interests of Sheffield Speedway.”
