Sheffield Tigers are already facing a fixture backlog before the height of summer.
Last night’s Premier League trip to Somerset was washed out in the morning to avoid unnecessary travel.
It was the second postponement in 24 hours as Sheffield’s home KO cup tie with Berwick was also a casualty.
Co-promoter Damian Bates said: “It’s a frustrating time for us, we can’t get any momentum in our season. Now we have another date to arrange and it’s only early-season. All the lads are raring to go.”
Tigers have Simon Stead and Ty Proctor racing in the Elite League for Leicester and Wolves respectively.
The next Owlerton action is on Thursday when Workington are the visitors in a Premier League clash.
