Cooper raring to go again

PAUL Cooper is determined to pick up where he left off last week when Sheffield face Glasgow in tonight's Premier Trophy clash at Owlerton (7.45).

Cooper had been struggling for points in the early weeks of the season and there was talk of his team place being under threat.

He turned to ex-Tiger Sam Ermolenko for help with his engine tuning and it appeared to make a difference as he scored 7+1 in last week's win over Workington.

He said: "It just took a bit of working out but I think I'm back at the races and I want to keep it going against Glasgow.Last week could still have been better but the most important thing for me was that I was back scoring some points and I have to be pleased about that."

Experienced Australian Shane Parker once again spearheads the Glasgow side in what is expected to be his final season before retiring back to his home country.

And in Josh Grajczonek and Mitchell Davey the Scottish side boast two talented young Aussies widely tipped for a future in the Elite League.

Sheffield will be unchanged from last Thursday with Josh Auty recovered from the lacerations he suffered to his chin.

SHEFFIELD: Ricky Ashworth, Paul Cooper, Ritchie Hawkins, Joel Parsons, Richard Hall, Chris Mills, Josh Auty.
