Cool Cooper getting back on right track

TIGERS reserve Paul Cooper believes his career is back on the right track ahead of tomorrow's tough test against King's Lynn at Owlerton.

Cooper has suffered a confidence crisis this season and there were calls from some sections of the Tigers fan base to sack him.

But his recent form suggests he's starting to build on the early signs of recovery - and he's forming a powerful reserve pairing with Joel Parsons.

He said: "I'm just trying to enjoy my racing again because that hasn't been the case so far this season.

"I feel a lot happier now I seem to be scoring some points and I'm looking forward to facing King's Lynn because I know what a tough meeting it's going to be.

"They're a great side and they'll really give us a tough test, but we can do it, we seem to be a lot better as a unit at the moment.

"There always seems to be this little rivalry between ourselves and King's Lynn because of some of the things that have been said in the past but we just have to focus on beating them on the night.

"It's going well for Joel and me at reserve and I know we have an important part to play. Joel's had probems just like me and there have been times when he must have wondered what he had to do to put things right.

"But we both seem to be back on track and if we can score well against King's Lynn then we'll have a great chance. They're a top team so it would be nice to see them off."
