Bumper turnout as Tigers ace Richard comes roaring back at Owlerton

RICHARD Hall got back on a bike for the first time in six months last night - and he feels fine.

The Sheffield Tigers ace ended last season on the injured list but insists he's raring to go for next Thursday's opener against Belle Vue.

He did plenty of laps during the well attended press and practice session at Owlerton when over 300 fans watched from the terraces.

Hall, who won an Elite League medal in 2006, said: "I was a bit nervous before the start but I felt a lot more comfortable as time went on.

"I was just pleased to be back on a bike and now I'm looking forward to the new season, starting next Thursday against Belle Vue."

Hall is in his second spell at Owlerton and will be in the main body of the team with Paul Cooper and Arlo Bugeja at reserve.

Tigers are in confident mood as they prepare to get into the swing of things in six days time.

They are promising a good night for track fans as they host Aces in a 'War of the Roses' inter-league challenge match at 7.45pm.
