Bugeja eager for action
ARLO Bugeja could be the key to Sheffield's chances of success this season - that's the view of club owner Neil Machin.
Bugeja spent last season with Redcar Bears but was quick to put himself forward for a switch to Owlerton when the season ended in October.
Now he'll line up at reserve alongside Paul Cooper when the tapes rise on what promises to be an exciting season on March 18 - possibly against Elite League Belle Vue.
"Arlo has wanted to be here at Sheffield since he first came over to ride in Britain and he's certainly been tenacious," said Machin.
"If that persistence pays off with results on the track then I'd like to think we'll be onto a winner.
"He'll start the season in March having served his apprenticeship over the last two years, having learned the Premier League tracks and this is the time to really become established at this level.
"Arlo wants to get out of the reserve berths as quickly as possible."
