JOSH Auty is hoping his maximum display in Sheffield’s win over Ipswich on Thursday serves as a reminder to his Elite League club Coventry.
Auty has admitted he is disappointed by a lack of opportunities with the play-off chasing Brandon club after being included in their double-up plans.
But the former of Glasgow’s Nick Morris has seen him have more of the fixtures than Auty who is clearly second choice.
He said: “I’ve been disappointed by a lack of opportunities at Coventry and it’s getting late in the season for that to change now.
“But I can only do my best and to score a maximum like I did for Sheffield on Thursday can only remind Coventry of what I’m capable of.
“Everything went really well for me and I felt really comfortable on the bike. I’m also nearly back to full fitness after all my injury problems, it’s been a tough season where that is concerned. I understand the fact that Nick is in good form but I have never let Coventry down when I’ve been called into the side.”
