Sheffield boss David Hoggart has hailed the side’s improved team spirit ahead of tonight’s trip to Ipswich.
After injuries decimated their season the Tigers have only recently been able to rebuild their side with the acquisition of German teenager Danny Maassen and ex-favourite Simon Lambert. Despite the absence of Simon Stead and Adam Roynon the city side have been able to track a more settled team.
Hoggart said: “There’s been a good atmosphere in the pits. Andre Compton has settled in again, Simon Lambert is a familiar face, Facu Albin is a great kid nd Ricky Wells is performing out of his skin.
“On Sunday, I thought there was a real buzz in the pits. Everyone rode their hearts out, and we nearly pulled off a win. It makes a huge difference having your own riders in and we’ve tried to keep some continuity with our guests.” Tonight, Tigers have Great Britain star Oliver Allen guesting at number one. Hoggart said; “We are capable of doing a job on their track.”
