Adam Roynon has his sights set on 2014 after surgery on his broken collarbone.
The Tigers star said; “Basically, if I didn’t have the operation I could have some problems with the nerves in my shoulder in later life so I was told it was better to have it done now and get it out of the way. It’s been a success though. It’s just a case of getting it back to full strength ready for next year.
“I’d love to come back this season but it’d be silly really, rather than riding and risking it I’m better off building it back up again and making sure I’m 100% ready for next season.”
Although he’s been on the sidelines, Roynon has kept a keen eye on the Tigers’ results and is a regular visitor to Owlerton. “Our luck this season has been unbelievable, just when we get a bit of a settled team we get another serious injury,” he said. !The boys are trying so hard but sometimes there’s nothing more you can do.
Tigers will send a team to Berwick on September 28 for injured rider Ricky Ashworth’s Benefit.
