Snooker: Walker thrilled after Milkins win

Joel Walker described his 5-0 victory over Robert Milkins in the qualifiers of the German Masters as one of the highlights of his fledgling career.

The Sheffield potter, aged 19, thrashed the World No 13 at the Barnsley Metrodome yesterday to ensure he is one of the 64 winners go through to the final stages of the tournament, which will take place in Berlin next year.

“It was definitely one of the best results of my career but not my greatest performance,” he told The Telegraph. “I scored okay but I missed a few.”
