Four snooker greats will be returning to the Crucible next month to take part in a special exhibition tour.
Stephen Hendry, a seven-time world champion, will team up with Joe Johnson to take on John Parrott and Tony Knowles in the popular Snooker Legends event.
The tour begins for the fifth consecutive year in Sheffield on Thursday, April 10 at the Crucible.
Johnson, who won the world crown in 1986, said: “When I first got offered the chance to play again at the Crucible, it brought back all those memories from 1986. I never thought I would get the chance to play again in that venue in front of my family and children – it will be a very special moment indeed.”
Parrott added: “There is nothing like the Crucible. I remember going there for the first time as a 14-year-old and I found it absolutely captivating.”
Expert analysis and humour will be provided by BBC commentator John Virgo while female referee Michaela Tabb will be in charge of the show. The action gets underway at 7pm.
